It took me a second to realize it was snowing since we&#8217;ve had so very little snow this season.<\/p>\n<p>It was still snowing when I got off the train in the city, and I saw a lot of people using  umbrellas.  I wanted to say to these people, &#8220;listen, I know you may not recognize it because it&#8217;s been so long, but this snow, not rain!&#8221;  Another of those odd New York customs I suppose.  Alas, the snow had pretty much turned to rain by the time I arrived at my office 15 minutes later.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side of the country at my sister&#8217;s house in Washington, they&#8217;ve got more snow than they know what to do with.
