Last Wednesday Adrienne and I flew in to Portland, where before heading out of town, we spent a few hours in the city. It was what one might think of a classic day in the Rose City, at least weather-wise: cool, windy with a bit of rain. Here’s a pic of the Multnomah County library that we saw downtown.

<img src="http://s94418918.onlinehome.us/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/img_0100.jpg" alt="Multonah Co. We were able to go enjoy the beach (going for a nice morning run), had some good eats from Pig ‘N Pancake (breakfast) and Doogers (seafood), and went on a very nice hike at Ecola State Park. Here are some pics from the hike:

Here is a very cool tree that ran out of space for its branches to go outward, so they turned 90 degrees and went up:

One more picture to share, and it’s a panoramic of what we saw looking outside from the deck of the condo. Then it was back to Portland, where we met up with Adrienne’s mom and did some shopping for our reception. Then off to Goldendale, where we spent some time with Adrienne’s family and had a Saturday afternoon reception and grill-out with about 40 family and friends. We should have pics from that sooner than later, and will put them up. Then soon enough it was time to head back to Jersey. A whirlwind of a vacation, but it was great to be back on the left coast and spend some time with everyone!

If our brief respite in Chicago after the wedding was the first half of the honeymoon, and the Niagara trip was the second half, then our recent trip out Northwest was the third half of the honeymoon.
