Update: The siding is from the side of the building adjacent to ours. See pic after the jump.
After the rain blew through today, we had quite a bit of wind- on my way back to WBGO after a remote broadcast, I saw a stoplight turn (it was a horizontal one mounted to a pole) nearly 45-degrees. I’m not sure that made sense, but trust me, it was pretty crazy. And we had some excitement back home as well:
A whole bunch of siding – I have yet to see where it came from – was blown all around our sidewalk. Fire department came by, yelled at Adrienne for trying to step out our front door (which was behind the ‘police line do not cross’). I guess the siding had hit some power lines. Some of the siding collected in front of the adjacent building:

So, what are you supposed to do when “caught” behind the DO NOT CROSS tape? It’s not like you ventured into the Hot Zone in spite of the warnings. Anyway, I’m glad the public safety (fire department) people were working to keep Adrienne safe. Maybe the next time they can try to find a back entrance to such a building and thus warn the occupants against going out the dangerous front of the building. Hindsight is always clearer.
