Amie got in just fine, Dan (who was already in town for work and stayed the previous night) and I went to the airport to get her. After dropping stuff off, we went into the city, Downtown. Grabbed some lunch at a favorite Mediterranean place and took it to go to eat at City Hall Park:

See Dan shopping at childhood favorite J&R and a full review after the jump!

Here’s Dan spending some ‘hobby’ money:

From there we headed up to Chinatown and Little Italy. Found a good deal on tshirts to send back to to the Philippines.

From there we went through SoHo a bit, then took the train to Midtown. On our way to Rockefeller Plaza for our Top of the Rock visit, we came across the Philippine Mission to the US – basically the embassy. Of course a picture was required!

Then it was on to Top of the Rock:

Upon exiting, we saw a zamboni doing its thing on the ice rink. A picture was required…

On our way to meet Adrienne (after her work day), we stopped by the office that Dan works in when he comes here:

After resting the doggies for a bit in Bryant Square Park, we went on to a great Thai dinner at Topaz – it’s the same place we took Mom and Dad before the Broadway show when they visited. Then we made our way down broadway…

and made it to Times Square:

From there we headed home. Bagels were prepped for the following morning, and four weary travelers took to bed.

Thanks David for sharing this photos…

Dad

It’s like being there, but without being there. And not nearly as much fun. But it’s still wonderful to have this blog to read.
