Me setting up for the Village Vanguard

WBGO has started a monthly collaboration with NPR’s Music website to do a live broadcast from NYC’s Village Vanguard. For now, I get to the do the music mix in the coat closet. Which, despite it’s tight workspace, is preferable to where we’re going to have to set up when the weather turns cold – in the back storage room/musician hangout/hallway to the men’s bathroom.

Anyway, last night’s music was from Al Foster, who’d played drums with Miles Davis for years. Music, pictures, blogs and more from the night are all to be found here.

How do you find the time?

David

Hey, I was up the same time you were! I’m sure the 3 hours of sleep will catch up to me tonight…
