I worked all day Saturday, so it was nice to have a lazy Sunday morning:

Later we headed into the city to do some shopping. Which makes one need some nourishment:

That’s my Jamba Juice, an Aloha Pineapple. We’d never had Tastidlite, so we gave it a try. Dunno that we’ll be going back.

On our way to Trader Joes for a wine run, we stopped at Whole Foods to see if they still had any honeycrisps, and Adrienne was excited that they did:

From Washington State, no less. So much for buying locally…

Eventually we got home and whipped up some dinner, steelhead trout with white asparagus. I’m not sure I’m a white asparagus fan. Live and learn, I guess.

Nice to have a relaxing Sunday. Too bad it’s back to work tomorrow!

Yes, David and Adrienne, I did indeed enjoy my ice cream birthday cake, thank you. It was very tasty. But the picture of yours leads me to believe I also would have enjoyed sharing your cake.
I wouldn’t say our Sunday was so much of a “lazy” day, but it was nice. Our group of 12 for lunch at Outback was nice but that size of a grouping makes it not so laid-back. Conversations were flying across the table in all directions, with the most prevalent topic being Uncle Greg & Mary’s visit to Heartland Church yesterday morning. They were impressed by the “production.”
The last batch of Honeycrisp apples we purchased at Edward’s Apple Orchard East cost $11.99 for a small bag (1/2 peck?). Kind of pricey. Wonder if they were also shipped in from Washington since the tornado last January pretty much did a number on the east orchards and buildings. They claim to be pretty well recovered now, but the main house is still under construction.

Oh, and our honeycrips were $4/pound, and we ended up with about 4 pounds!
