I went sans Adrienne to the balloon inflation held on the north and south sides of the American Museum of Natural History on the Upper West Side. They warned of crowds… yeah, I’ll say! It was still kinda cool to see. But I don’t think I’ll be going back. But, you can enjoy the pictures, after the jump.

Oh, and apologies for not the greatest photos, the crowd was such that you just had to keep moving, all while making sure you didn’t step on someone or get run over.

Pretty cool, I’m thinking. But I can see why it might be a once-in-a-lifetime sort of adventure. Just too many people — and the need to keep moving sort of limits your ability to see/photo what you might want. Thanks for sharing, David! Happy Thanksgiving!!! We’ll be thinking of you and Adrienne.

Which camera was used?

David

Canon G9. New toy was with me there, still all boxed up. Battery needs charging before use, the old battery gotchya…

I will say, this is the sort of instance I think I’ll be glad to have a dslr with live view – a lot of the pics were held above the crowd: wouldn’t be possible with the eye to the camera.
