Tee-Vee

As just mentioned, WBGO today put its foot one step deeper into the waters of video production, doing a 3-camera live broadcast of a performance and interview. This really was a demo/learning process, so the results aren’t perfect, but you can view it below:

At first I was going to comment on how dark the video was and that you should add more lighting the next time, but then I just tilted the screen on my laptop a little differently and things brightened up. So, it’s okay. But the best part was the ending couple seconds when what I assume to be a WBGO employee did the final check of how things went. He seemed to be looking inside the camera just to make sure the video was in there. And it was. Very interesting!

Ha, that WBGO employee was your son! 🙂 He was stopping the recording, so he could run and do an ISDN recording for a segment on Weekend Edition Saturday the following morning.
