Earlier tonight the phone rang – the township of Bloomfield was calling, and telling us they’d issued a Code Red! Luckily Adrienne and I were under a blanket, by the fire, watching a movie – we don’t let a little snow get us worked up. In fact, it’s quite beautiful. And I’m very happy to have parked the car in the garage as well. Here’s the view from the second floor, looking out back:

We did not. But it did basically say to keep cars off the street in certain areas for plowing, etc. I also found this link on the town website:

So I think code red is actually the name of the product, not an actual status. Which is a bit odd, if you ask me. But so far we’re nice and safe and warm. All the snow seems to have gone now, and it’s very nice and white. I suppose I should go find my boots so I can do some shoveling…

So, did you already know what a “Code Red” was/meant and what you were supposed to do about it? I suppose the automatic messaging system explained the meaning. Stay safe, and warm.
