Born 9:32am 8.15.11 after 7 hours labor and then another 3.5 hours pushing (!) with just a little help from a suction cup extractor (Baby Girl decided she preferred face up to face down, making life more difficult for Adrienne). I’ll share more detail via email with those of you seeking it. 19.5 inches long, 7lbs 3oz. (apparently they don’t round up I guess). I’ve never been more proud of Adrienne, she really is my Wonder Woman! And yeah, we’ll let you know when the whole name thing is sorted out…

What a cute little face! Congratulations to both of you and way to go Adrienne!

7 hours of labor – piece of cake.
3.5 hours of pushing – ugh.

Great job on what is most likely Adrienne’s greatest challenge experienced in her life to date!

Baby looks a little bluer than I would expect in the first couple of photos. Perhaps due to the face down position?

Audrey says “hello” – she “kissed” my iphone this morning when it had one of the pictures open.

If you need suggestions for girl names, I’d recommend Aura, it’s a lovely name and reminds one of heavenly hues. (Amie does not like this name because it is the name of our dental assistant and she thinks I have a crush on her). 🙂

Amie’s suggestion for a name is Allison. 🙂

What a beautiful baby! Congratulations!!

Aurora

I think she’s going to be super pretty, looking at picture 7 of 8. Congratulations you two!
(and since we know you’re not giving her an A name I don’t have to worry about you naming her Allison – I’m not sure rhyming names are such a great idea) Love to you guys and soooo jealous of Doug who’ll likely get to see her this week!

Yup, great job to Adrienne indeed! And fantabulous, stupendous, awesome and everything in between! She (the baby) was fairly blue, but they gave her 9/9 on apgar. She was pushing against the bone a lot, so it surely did contribute. So far we’ve whittled the spreadsheet down to 3 first names. I think we’re fairly set on the middle name. Though as Aurora notes, Adrienne decided long ago no ‘A’ names were to be allowed. I suppose we’ve always diverted from the path well-known…
