Update – I’ve stopped for the night, dark = not much to see.

Just for the fun of it, I’ve set up the webcam to look out the West-facing office window. You can view the (right now rather unexciting) live video below (be warned, you have to deal with advertisements in the video below). Oh, and I killed the sound, visual only.

Does not seem like it’s all that windy at about 7:23am. Guess I would have expected more wind. Trees holding up?

Agreed, not all that windy, though it does seem to come and go. I also get the sense that our location is helping, we’re kind of in a little pocket/valley. Looks like it’s a couple more hours until the real stuff is supposed to start.

That’s odd. All of the wind is on the back side of the storm?

We’ve got friends in Richmond, VA. Survived it okay but had no power for 10 hours.

Yes, does seem as though the wind still may be forthcoming.

So far we’re dry (inside) and have power, so that’s good. Gonna go whip up some donuts!
