I’ve never really used Garageband to do anything. I figured it was time to change that, so I gave myself a little project. Here’s the result, playing a tenor trombone I effectively haven’t touched in a couple months (yikes!):

Self-composed? Improv’d on the fly or planned out? I imagine the melody was done first and then the second track laid down with headphones on?

David

The music is a duet I found on the internet a long time ago and was just sitting around. The melody switches between the two lines, but yes, I did record the top line (first with the melody) first.

Thanks Laura. If you really want some inspiration as to why you should play the trombone, don’t listen to my playing but check out people like Christian Lindberg, Joe Alessi, Frank Rosolino, J.J. Johnson, Ray Anderson, Fred Wesley, etc. etc. etc.!
