Signs of Spring

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

With DST upon us, we’ve got revelers in the park after work, Rita’s (motto: Ice, Custard, Happiness) on my bike ride home is open for business, and this in our yard:

Family Photo

We’ve determined the tree needs to come down the next day or two, as it’s dropping needles on its own. So Adrienne suggests we take a quick photo with the cats. I’m somewhat embarrassed by the quality of it (out of focus, poor lighting etc.), but I hope you’ll enjoy nonetheless!

Merry Christmas! part two

Friday, December 25th, 2009

Here are some photos from our Christmas morning. In his stocking, David found a remote controller for his camera, so he placed the camera on the fireplace mantle and tried it out. Here’s the first pic:

Adrienne was so ecstatic that she had to close her eyes to keep it all in!

And of course Dudley participated in his own way.

So far a nice relaxing Christmas. Hope you’re having the same!

Merry Christmas! part one

We’ll start off with another neighborhood pic:

Here’s a photo of Adrienne wishing David hadn’t dragged her out for a walk at 9:30pm on Christmas Eve, just to take a photo of another house!

Adrienne is a recent convert to the ‘puffy coat’, by the way. More photos in part two!

Code Red!

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

Earlier tonight the phone rang – the township of Bloomfield was calling, and telling us they’d issued a Code Red! Luckily Adrienne and I were under a blanket, by the fire, watching a movie – we don’t let a little snow get us worked up. In fact, it’s quite beautiful. And I’m very happy to have parked the car in the garage as well. Here’s the view from the second floor, looking out back:

Neighborhood lights

I may try to feature the hard work of those in our neighborhood in the next week or two, enjoy!

Eeyore Cruelty

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

I walk by this Christmas yard display on the way to/from the train. The look on Eeyore is so sad, and he has to pull Tigger and the Pooh. It kinda makes me sad.

A few Saturday pics

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

A few days ago David got the pot rack up, which has helped move forward the kitchen organization:

And I had to share this photo. Too bad I don’t have one from WNIJ, the only other radio station for which I’ve worked!

I got tickets for a concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center tonight, so Adrienne and I went in a little early to walk through Central Park on this misty, fall day:

And of course today was the opening day of the new Apple store on the Upper West Side, so we walked by there as well:

Two photos from Bloomfield

I like to think of this pair as the Ole and Lena of pumpkins.

And here are our great, but lazy late afternoon sun-soaking cats:
