A good foot was on the car this morning.

Everything’s shut down today, as the snow continues. Luckily the satellite dishes seem to be staying clear enough so I don’t have to go into work just yet. So I’m hanging around the house with a fire going, doing some work work, house work, other stuff and enjoying looking at the white stuff!
Snow always makes everything look nice!

Earlier tonight the phone rang – the township of Bloomfield was calling, and telling us they’d issued a Code Red! Luckily Adrienne and I were under a blanket, by the fire, watching a movie – we don’t let a little snow get us worked up. In fact, it’s quite beautiful. And I’m very happy to have parked the car in the garage as well. Here’s the view from the second floor, looking out back:
A few days ago David got the pot rack up, which has helped move forward the kitchen organization:
And I had to share this photo. Too bad I don’t have one from WNIJ, the only other radio station for which I’ve worked!
I got tickets for a concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center tonight, so Adrienne and I went in a little early to walk through Central Park on this misty, fall day:
And of course today was the opening day of the new Apple store on the Upper West Side, so we walked by there as well:
Those of you that are long-time car owners likely think this is silly to share, but we’re still getting over that new (to us) car owner honeymoon! So this morning I took the CR-V for an oil change at the Honda dealer that previously did work on it, and of course ended up spending a couple hours as they did more work than just an oil change. Thankfully it was all regular maintenance type stuff that I (somewhat) expected.
It’s been cloudy with a chance of rain the whole day, but Adrienne and I took the chance of washing and waxing the car. We got a couple sprinkles as we were finishing the pre-wax treatment, but other than that the cloudy day (no garage, of course) worked in our favor. Used 3M Imperial Hand Glaze pre-wax and One Grand Blitz wax. We could have spent a lot more time de-tarring it, etc., but I think she looks pretty good:
There’s not much ‘natural beauty’ in our small corner of the world, but Mother Nature blew through a few days ago, leaving several inches of snow all around. I noticed this completely undisturbed creation while taking the trash out.
The snow was completely smooth, the pattern created by the airflow through slots in the table. Then, I noticed it was smiling at me!
